The Highways AgencyIf you’re taking to the roads with a caravan, trailer or horsebox, don’t set out without a final safety and maintenance check, especially if you leave it standing for most of the year.
To raise awareness of the safety risks involved when towing a caravan or trailer and the importance of ensuring you are towing safely, the Highways Agency has issued a new safety DVD, Fit to Tow, presented by Carol Smillie.

Touring and Tenting hold regular rallies and meet up's (LMU's) are holders of both the camping exemption certificate and caravan exemption certificates.

 Be part of the biggest and ‘wildest’ event of the year.
National Camping and Caravanning Week 2008 is going ‘wild’ in celebration of the green and open places we all love to camp and also asking the question. Do we really know what wildlife we’re camping next to?
Be part of this year’s NCCW08 event by...

* Camping in a tent, caravan or motorhome either on a camp site or in a garden and experiencing the adventure of one of Britain's favourite pastimes
* Tell us how many of you are camping on Saturday 24 May 2008 so we can take an audit on the amount of people enjoying our ‘wild’ places
* Tell us what you see when you’re out camping during NCCW08 with our Wild Watch
* Take part in competitions including the NCCW08 Wildlife Photographer competition
* Find deals and special offers especially for you to make the most of your camping adventures during NCCW08

Touring and Tenting will also be joining in and supporting NCCW08 as we have done the last couple of years at our rally
